Rock 'n' Roll Chic: Infusing Your Wardrobe with Daisy Jones and the Six Style

I first heard about Daisy Jones and the Six when the series launched on Amazon Prime. I knew nothing about the book or the story behind it. But it seemed to have lots of music and 70's fashion so I was intrigued to watch it.
After watching the first episode I was hooked! Started listening to all the Fleetood Mac albums (the story is sort of inspired by Fleetwood Mac and their personal stories), started reading the book and got obsessed with 70's fashion!
So if you want to get on the 'Daisy Jones & the Six' wagon, definitely watch the series, listen to the music here and embrace the 70's fashion in a few, easy steps:

1. Crochet and crochet and a little more crochet

Adding a touch of crochet to your looks is a great way to start your 70's journey. You can start with a crochet bag and gradually move to cardigans and even dresses.

2. Accessorise with Flair

Accessories are key to capturing the essence of the '70s. Opt for statement pieces like wide-brimmed hats, oversized sunglasses, and bohemian-inspired jewelry. Layer necklaces with pendants or beads, stack bracelets, and embrace the freedom of self-expression. Incorporate fringe, feathers, and tassels for that extra boho touch. You can choose to start modestly and just add one pair of sunglasses or go wild and go for the full 70's look.

3. Embrace Flowing Silhouettes

Daisy Jones' style in the series is all about embracing fluidity and femininity. Look for flowing maxi dresses, blouses with billowy sleeves, and skirts with movement. Opt for fabrics like chiffon, silk, or cotton to create a sense of lightness and freedom in your outfits. Garments with fringe details is the easiest way to channel your inner Daisy.

4. Play with Prints and Colors

Bold prints and vibrant colors defined the fashion of the '70s. Incorporate paisley patterns, psychedelic prints, and geometric designs into your wardrobe. Don't shy away from earthy tones, rich jewel tones, and pops of bright hues. Experiment with mixing and matching prints, or go for statement pieces like printed blazers or patterned trousers. You can even match a crochet top with your smart trousers and you'll have an effortlessly chic look for any occassion.

5. Rocker-Inspired Footwear

Complete your Daisy Jones-inspired looks with the right footwear. Platform shoes or boots were popular in the '70s and can instantly elevate your outfits. Look for chunky heels, wedges, or platform sandals to add height and a retro vibe. Choose materials like suede or leather for an authentic touch.

 6. Incorporate Vintage Pieces

The '70s were all about vintage fashion, so consider incorporating some vintage pieces into your wardrobe. Look for authentic '70s clothing at charity shops or online vintage shops or the usual marketplaces like Ebay and Depop. You can also mix vintage pieces with modern pieces to create a unique and personal look.

Most importantly, don't forget to have fun! Turn up the volume on the Aurora album and don't be afraid to experiment and to mix and match. Find inspiration, mix and match different elements, incorporate vintage pieces, accessorize, and most importantly, make it your own.
